For veterans in the Pittsburgh region:

VAPHS Town Hall for all concerned veterans:

Monday, 29 August 2016, 1 p.m.

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System will hold its next Town Hall for veterans as shown above.  We will provide the campus and the room in which it will be held here, but if you are a vet who gets care from the VAPHS, you should receive a notice with details from the VA.

The format is usually a couple of brief presentations on concerns of general interest, then a question-and-answer session.  The VA usually has health care AND benefits specialists on hand if your situation is particularly acute.

Keystone Paralyzed Veterans of America

will send its athletes to the

2017 National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Cincinnati, Ohio

17 through 22 July

We thank the people who generously support the work of Paralyzed Veterans and who make it possible to send the athletes to the Games. The Games move from city to city each year, but Pennsylvania’s paralyzed veterans will still need your support. You can help by sponsoring a wheelchair athlete.

This project will cost over $35,000–a huge chunk of our chapter’s modest budget.

Two bass fishermen head out of the Monongahela River.

The Paralyzed Veterans of America–Keystone Chapter, with its partner, the Greene County Bassmasters, will hold its 10th annual Team Bass Tournament on Sunday, 19 June at the usual place, the boat ramp/marina of the American Legion Post 940 in West Brownsville, Pa.

THIS IS A NEW DATE.  A list of activities distributed by Keystone PVA showed a different date.  The date if 19 June 2016 is correct.

A copy of the registration/rules/release form, which has all of the details, will be available in May in the May-June issue of the chapter newsletter, the Parascope.  And we can mail one to you if you just call the office and request to be put on the mailing list.

TOURNAMENT MAY BE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 20 TEAMS ENTERED.

The Banquet is open to the public. Members attend at no cost–we return your check when you register. Nonmembers can attend for a nominal $30.00, which only covers the cost of the banquet (it is not a charitable donation).

OPEN HOUSE – Paralyzed Veterans Awareness Week 2011

Fred and Skip ask, “Are you going to make us eat all of this good food by ourselves?”

OPEN HOUSE during Paralyzed Veterans Awareness Week

The Sharpsburg offices of the Keystone PVA will be open to the public on Friday, 20 April, from 12 noon to 5 p.m., as part of Paralyzed Veterans Awareness Month.

Keystone PVA’s offices are at 1113 Main Street, right across from the post office. But please use the municipal parking lot on Main Street at 13th Street, just 200 feet down the street. Please reserve the parking lot next to the Keystone PVA offices for drop-offs.

Refreshments and good fellowship are also on the program!

Join us at anytime during the afternoon.
